Blue Zones Project in Costa Rica

A great friend, Michael Mintz, is currently working for Blue Zones, a National Geographic-sponsored project that is investigating the regions of the world with the highest percentage of centenarians. He is on the Costa Rica team and has been maintaining a blog about this and other international experiences called I Enjoy Sneezing. Each day the team investigates a new aspect of health and longevity, filing video and text news reports on the Blue Zones site. School kids around the world vote on what the team will investigate the next day, and then check back to see the new videos and articles. What a great way to get kids involved in the process of exploration and discovery, all while learning about what leads to long, healthy (and happy) lives.
