No Company Should be This Big...

I have a student loan from Citibank. Everyday they have this automated lady calling me saying "We're sorry we are not able to talk to you personally, please call 800 967 6080. This is not a sales call."

They don't mention why I should call this number. When I call, I get an automated menu asking me to make a choice between a number of options. But of course, I don't know which option to choose because I don't know why I'm calling in the first place!

I hereby vow that no company I run will ever get so big that we have an automated machine calling our customers.

In Citibank's case, its somewhat understandable since they have me locked in on a fifteen-year repayment plan for my loans. It's not very easy for me to just drop them. But still, they could at least have an automated system that tells you what you are supposed to do when you call back into their other automated system!

Haha that's stupid! Someone didn't think very far when coming up with that idea!

I wonder if there's a limit on how many times the automated call will come, before someone calls you personally...
